The entire Heatray range is designed, engineered and manufactured in Moorabbin, Victoria. We are specialists in precision HVAC air control, heating and cooling, and we proudly stand behind products in use across Australia, Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Heatray products are carefully engineered for optimal performance, minimising energy loss and maximising efficiency, through radiant heating which delivers a cleaner environment and lower running costs.
The ‘feel’ of radiant heat is similar to that of the sun—evenly distributed, soft warmth absorbed by exposed surfaces. This provides for more efficient and comfortable warmth, unlike conventional heating systems, where blown hot air can create uncomfortable drafts and rise away from where it is required.
Heatray products also offer individual switching and zone control, allowing for units to be activated and used only where and when needed.
Within our own facility, sustainability leads our operations from our precision approach to manufacturing that minimises waste to our PV solar system, which provides up to 50% of our energy requirements.
Born in the 80s
The Heatray story begins with Celmec, which itself started as a division of AG Coombs to create various metal products, including Australia’s first tube radiant heating. In the mid-90s, Celmec became an independent business with its signature heating range branded Heatray.
Olympic innovation
In advance of the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Celmec was approached to create a heating and lighting system for outdoor dining in key locations by Circular Quay. The new Heatray Electric Radiant Heating (ERH) panel system was born.
Energy efficiency
The electric IRH-E instantaneous radiant heater joined the range in 2008 and has grown to accommodate widely varied applications. All new and existing Heatray products are continuously improved for greater energy efficiency, aesthetics and performance.
Local & global
Celmec’s new HQ opened in 2014, bringing six manufacturing facilities under one roof. From here, Heatray products are designed, developed and delivered to clients across Australia and around the globe.
